Shanxi Taiyuan Beichen Bilingual School is a landmark educational institution approved by the Taiyuan City Education Bureau. The campus accommodates nearly 3,000 students and 430 faculty and staff, across an area of over 100 acres. Designed with modern classrooms, multifunctional halls, and advanced teaching facilities, the school focuses on creating a comfortable, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly learning environment.

Project Challenge

Located in northern China, Taiyuan experiences long and harsh winters, making heating a major operational expense for large campuses. The school required a sustainable and reliable heating system that could maintain stable indoor comfort across multiple buildings while reducing energy costs and environmental impact.

Tongyi Commercial Air-to-Water Heat Pump Solution

After evaluating several technologies, Beichen Bilingual School chose Tongyi Heat Pump for its proven expertise in commercial air-to-water heat pump systems. Tongyi supplied and installed a large-scale central heating solution consisting of 41 units of 60 HP and 6 units of 30 HP R290 commercial air-to-water heat pumps.

The system adopts a centralized distributed layout with independent zone control, ensuring precise temperature regulation and smart energy scheduling across dormitories, classrooms, and common areas. The intelligent control system automatically adjusts the heating output according to real-time demand, optimizing performance and minimizing electricity consumption.

Performance and Results

Since operation, the Tongyi commercial air-to-water heat pump system has delivered consistent, quiet, and efficient heating throughout the entire campus. Indoor temperatures remain stable even during the coldest days, providing a comfortable environment for both students and teachers.
