Reliable Hot Water for a 51-Story Landmark
CapitaSpring, a 280-meter-tall mixed-use skyscraper in Singapore, required an efficient and sustainable heat pump high rise application to meet the Domestic Hot Water (DHW) needs of its serviced residences, office spaces, and food stalls. To ensure a reliable, energy-efficient solution, 6-8 Tongyi R134A 75°C High-Temperature Heat Pumps (HG46) were installed, including redundancy for system reliability.
Meeting the Hot Water Demand of a High-Rise Building
- Building: CapitaSpring, Singapore
- Application: Domestic Hot Water (DHW) for commercial use
- Daily Hot Water Demand: 50,000 – 70,000 liters
- Installation: 6-8 Tongyi HG46 heat pumps
- Capacity: 5,364 – 7,152 liters per hour at 65-75°C
- Storage Tank: 20,000 – 30,000 liters to handle peak-hour demand
Why Tongyi Heat Pumps Were the Ideal Choice for High-Rise Applications
Energy Efficiency & Cost Savings
The HG46 heat pumps deliver a COP of 3.15, achieving up to 75% energy savings compared to traditional gas boilers. This reduces both operational costs and environmental impact, making it a sustainable heat pump high rise application.
