Case Study: Energy Savings with Tongyi’s Hybrid Air-to-Water Heat Pump System at Qijiang Wangliang Hotel, Chongqing
At the Qijiang Wangliang Hotel in Chongqing, China, a reliable and energy-efficient hot water system was a top priority. The hotel, with approximately 120 guest rooms, required a solution that could provide consistent hot water while minimizing energy costs. The solution was found in Tongyi’s advanced hybrid air-to-water heat pump system, which offered exceptional energy savings and high-performance hot water delivery.
Project Overview
The project aimed to upgrade the hotel’s hot water system to ensure that guests could enjoy reliable and comfortable hot water throughout their stay, even during peak demand periods. The system configuration included four 42 kW circulating heat pump units, 30 pressurized water tanks (totaling about 13,650 L), and four 18 kW electric water tanks. This hybrid air-to-water heat pump system was designed to offer robust redundancy and efficiently manage sudden demand fluctuations, keeping water temperatures stable for optimal guest satisfaction.
Energy Savings and Efficiency
By utilizing Tongyi’s hybrid air-to-water heat pump system, the hotel significantly improved its energy efficiency. The system’s intelligent digital controls continuously monitor and adjust temperatures, ensuring that hot water is always available while reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
